Construction crews are busy Tuesday laying foundations for The Village, the University of Southern Mississippi's newest campus living opportunity for female students. Located on a 10-acre portion of land on the Hattiesburg, Miss., campus, the $18 million construction project is expected to take about 14 months to complete, and will provide additional housing for more than 350 sorority members and upper-class scholarship recipients.
