Building Your Professional Bank Account

HATTIESBURG – The University of Southern Mississippi’s College of Health wants to teach the Pine Belt community the ABC’s of building a career that breeds prosperity.

“Building Your Professional Bank Account” is the focus of the College of Health’s December Scholar Series set for December 6 at Southern Miss’ University Union Hall of Honors from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. on the Hattiesburg campus.

Linda Hall, Ph.D., Forrest General Hospital’s former director of Health Management Connection, will be the featured speaker. Hall’s presentation will focus on strategies that students and entry-level professionals can implement now and in the future as they begin their professional careers.

Southern Miss Human Performance and Recreation associate professor and coordinator of the College of Health Scholars Series Susan Hubble Burchell calls Hall a visionary in the field of health and wellness who works and interacts with passion, energy and intensity.

Hall has a plethora of experience in the medical field as she has published articles and books on developing and managing programs for disease management, facilities, and health and wellness. She has spent 24 years as a manager and executive director of facilities for rehabilitation and lifestyle invention and 21years as a professor or adjunct professor teaching exercise physiologists, nurses, physical therapists and other health professionals about developing, managing and integrating disease management.
