Distinguished faculty within the College of Arts & Letters at The University of Southern Mississippi will be recognized during the first Research Awards Showcase set for 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1 at Gonzalez Auditorium in the Liberal Arts Building.

The showcase is designed to honor recipients of the 2011 College of Arts & Letters Scholarly and Creative Research grant. Besides publicizing notable faculty research, the program also will include discussion about opportunities for research funding and development.
