The closing program of the 2014 University of Southern Mississippi Summer Math Institute will be held from 1 - 3:30 p.m. Friday, June 27 at the Trent Lott National Center, rooms 101-102.
The four-week Institute (June 2-27) is a professional development workshop funded by the U.S. Department of Education and administered through the State Institutions of Higher Learning. It is serving 22 in-service mathematics teachers from 18 school districts in the state.
At the closing program, Dr. Haiyan Tian, director of the Summer Math Institute since 2009, will give an introduction of the Institute which will be followed by the awarding of certificates of recognition and participant presentations. The session is open to the public.
