Gulf Coast Students Selected for 2013-2014 Who’s Who

The University of Southern Mississippi has selected 17 students earning their degrees from the Gulf Park campus for the 2013-2014 Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.

Students were selected based on leadership, extracurricular activities and community contributions throughout their academic career. Additionally, students must graduate in the current academic year. Undergraduate students are required to have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 and graduate students must have a minimum grade point average of 3.75.

The university recognizes the following students for their outstanding achievements by naming them to the 2013-2014 Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. The following students have either graduated or anticipate graduation in May:

  • Hannah Bahe of Waveland, bachelor of science in marine biology and psychology
  • Melody Brock of Gulfport, bachelor of science in mathematics licensure
  • Catherine Bryant of Gulfport, bachelor of science in community health
  • Alma Burrell of Waveland, bachelor of social work
  • Connie Coletta of Gautier, bachelor of science in nursing
  • Angela Davis of Vancleave, bachelor of science in elementary education
  • LaQuita Gresham of Gulfport, bachelor of arts in English licensure
  • Ashley Hatley of Saucier, bachelor of arts in English and Spanish
  • Jennifer Hightower of Diamondhead, bachelor of science in business administration for casino and resort management
  • Brandy Jarvis of Ocean Springs, bachelor of science in business administration for marketing
  • Chelsey Kelly of Gulfport, bachelor of science in biological sciences
  • Mary Kleitz of Biloxi, master of social work
  • Keionda Lewis of Bay St. Louis, bachelor of arts in Spanish and broadcast journalism
  • Tiyahri McCray of Ocean Springs, bachelor of science in child and family studies
  • Tami Miller of Vancleave, master of social work
  • Alice Moss of Biloxi, bachelor of arts in political science
  • Heather Nicholson of Ocean Springs, bachelor of science in geography (geographic information technology)
