Gulf Coast University Communications Office Wins CPRAM, PRAM Awards

The Office of University Communications at The University of Southern Mississippi Gulf Coast was presented five awards in the senior division at the College Public Relations Association of Mississippi (CPRAM) 2013 awards luncheon May 21 in Gulfport.

The office includes Shelia White, director of university communications, Judy Isbell, director of web services, Charmaine Schmermund, assistant director of public relations, and Francesca Linthicum, assistant director of creative services.

In the category of public relations innovation, the office received the first place award for the entry “Stay Here. Go Far. Alumni Posters.” The office received the second place award in the public relations campaign category for the entry “Test Drive a Degree.”

Linthicum received second place awards in two categories. The first was in the exhibits category for the entry “IDV Exhibit,” and the second in the advertisements category for the entry “Professional MBA.” Schmermund’s entry “Viewbook Faculty Photo” received the third place award in the photograph category at CPRAM, as well as a certificate of achievement in the Public Relations Association of Mississippi annual awards competition.
