Gulf Park Campus Employees Honored with Service Pins on Founders’ Day

The University of Southern Mississippi Gulf Park campus celebrated the university’s Founders’ Day with a reception honoring employees for continuous service of 10, 20, and 30 years to Southern Miss. In recognition of their service, honored employees received a commemorative pin from the university.

Gulf Park campus employees were recognized by Southern Miss Gulf Park campus Vice President Frances Lucas, sixth from left. From left to right, 10-year pin recipients Dr. John Harris, associate professor of mathematics; Eunice Scott, events specialist; Susan Mullican, instructor of philosophy; Suzy Robinson, administrative and logistics coordinator; Dr. Karen Rich, associate professor of nursing; 20-year pin recipient Edward McCormack, associate dean and professor for Gulf Coast Libraries; 30-year pin recipient Allisa Beck, collection management librarian and associate professor; David Graham, carpenter shop foreman for Physical Plant; and Dr. Douglas Bristol, associate professor of history. Not pictured are Charlotte Gore, instructor of nursing, and Dr. Fujun Lai, professor of management.

In addition to the service pin presentation, Lucas was presented a commendation by Gulf Coast Faculty Council President James Pat Smith. The framed letter of commendation was presented to Lucas for her dedication and leadership as the Southern Miss Gulf Park campus was restored following Hurricane Katrina.
