Dr. Susan M. Wilczynski, a national expert on Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) will be the guest presenter for the Issues + Answers Lecture Thursday, April 7 at 7 p.m. in the University of Southern Mississippi Gulf Coast’s Fleming Education Center auditorium at the Gulf Park campus in Long Beach.
The Sun Herald and the Southern Mississippi Gulf Coast College of Education and Psychology are presenting this event.
Wilczynski, a licensed psychologist and board certified behavior analyst, will discuss the facts and myths surrounding autism. As the executive director of the National Autism Center, Wilczynski works with experts from around the nation to establish national standards for the treatment of individuals on the autism spectrum. She has authored multiple articles and book chapters on the treatment of ASD and co-edited the book, Effective Practices for Children with Autism.
