Samantha Schott of Mandeville, La., has been named to 2010-11 Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities at The University of Southern Mississippi.
Schott, a news-editorial journalism major, is the daughter of Christopher and Judy Schott. She is a member of Kappa Tau Alpha Mass Communication and Journalism Honor Society, the Catholic Student Association, Eagle Connection, Delta Gamma Sorority, and Golden Key Honor Society.
Schott was one of 40 students at Southern Miss selected for this prestige award. Who’s Who Among American Colleges and Universities is the highest award the academic community bestows. Students are chosen based on the following criteria: grade point average, community involvement, future leadership ability and/or potential and participation and leadership within school organizations and extracurricular activities.
