McComb Students Named College of Health Ambassador at Southern Miss

Two students from McComb, Miss., were selected to serve as College of Health Ambassadors for the 2010-11 academic year at The University of Southern Mississippi. 

• Lanchasica Alexander is a senior nursing major and the daughter of Willie Alexander, Jr. and Hattie Simmons. She is a member of Tau Sigma Honor Society where she serves on the leadership board, Golden Key International Honor Society and Student Nurses Association where she serves as vice president.

• Blake Giles is a senior exercise science major and the son of Lawrence and Patsy Giles.  He is president of the exercise physiology club and a member of Tri Beta.

Students are selected to represent the College of Health as an Ambassador based on the student’s academic achievement and leadership qualities. Ambassadors represent the college at a variety of campus and community events and are dedicated to expanding the College of Health by increasing the college student body and promoting health and excellence through research, teaching, and service.
