The University of Southern Mississippi Gulf Coast Office of Security and Safety has partnered with the U.S. Navy to provide Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D.) training May 10 – 12 from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Technology Learning Center on the university’s Gulf Park campus in Long Beach.
R.A.D. training includes lecture, discussion and self defense techniques suitable for women of all ages and abilities. Cpl. Katie Morrison and Lt. Dominic Puzo will lead the training sessions. Each have more than 10 years of experience in law enforcement and self-defense tactics.
R.A.D. training is free and limited to 20 participants, who must attend all three sessions to earn their certificate. The deadline to register is May 6. To register for the R.A.D. training, contact Ronald Groat at firstname.lastname@example.org or 228.214.3503.
