The University of Southern Mississippi College of Health, in conjunction with Hattiesburg Clinic, will present a Spring Health Forum from noon-3 p.m. on Tuesday, April 15 at the Thad Cochran Center on the Hattiesburg campus.
The forum’s theme will be “Hattiesburg ‘Midtown’: Health-Enhancing Economic and Community Development.” Admission and lunch are free, but registration is required.
Chad Newell, president of the Area Development Partnership, will serve as the keynote speaker for the event. Scheduled panelists include Ridgeland, Miss., Mayor Gene McGee; Dr. Evelyn Walker, director of the Mississippi State Department of Health’s Office of Health Promotion and Health Equity; Dr. Michael Forster, dean of the Southern Miss College of Health, and Jessica Sharp, visiting instructor in the School of Construction at Southern Miss.
