The University of Southern Mississippi offers students the opportunity to gain credit hours in a convenient format for the summer 2011 semester during its mini-session May 16-27. Mini-session courses are offered during the intersession, or break, between regular semesters.
This summer’s mini-session includes courses at the undergraduate and graduate level in biology, English, journalism, psychology, sociology, criminal justice and theatre, among many other subject areas.
The 2011 summer mini-session schedule is as follows:
· May 16-20 from 8 a.m. - noon and 1- 5 p.m. (meeting for one week, eight hours per day)
· May 23-27 8 a.m. - noon and 1-5 p.m. (meeting for one week, eight hours per day)
· May 16-20 and May 23-27 from 8 a.m. – noon or 1-5 p.m. or 6-10 p.m. (meeting for two weeks, four hours per day)
Financial aid can not apply to mini session classes alone. Students must enroll in regular session classes as well in order to receive federal aid.
