The School of Polymers and High Performance Materials at The University of Southern Mississippi has been recognized with a prestigious Boeing Performance Excellence Award. The Boeing Company presents the award annually to honor partners who have achieved superior performance.
For nearly 10 years Southern Miss and Boeing have enjoyed a mutually beneficial research relationship. Boeing currently employs several doctoral graduates from the University’s polymer science program. Additionally, Boeing regularly hosts internships for Southern Miss polymer graduate students.

The Southern Miss School of Polymers and High Performance Materials offers undergraduate and graduate programs leading to Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Polymer Science and Engineering and in Sports and High Performance Materials.
The mission of the undergraduate and graduate program is to educate incoming students in the theory and practice of polymer science, which is revolutionary and changing the face of society today. Students in all of the degree programs receive valuable training for a career in academia, commerce and manufacture which process and use polymeric materials.
