Kimberly Gaddis of Meridian, Miss., has been selected as one of 23 members of Southern Style for 2011 at The University of Southern Mississippi.

Gaddis, a junior political science major, is the daughter of Keith Gaddis of Meridian and Melanie and Dennis Reed of Meridian.  She is an Honor’s College Ambassador, secretary of Eagle Connection and a member of Delta Gamma sorority. 

Erick Brown of Columbus, Miss., has been selected as one of 23 members of Southern Style for 2011 at The University of Southern Mississippi.

Brown, a junior sociology major, is the son of James and Regina Brown. 

Southern Style is a highly selective group of student leaders who serve as official hosts and hostesses for Southern Miss. Students are chosen each year through a three-phase selection process. One of the main responsibilities of Southern Style members is to serve as orientation leaders during the summer.

Two University of Southern Mississippi students from the Amite County area have been selected as members of Southern Style for 2011.

• Shawn Blanchard, a junior exercise physiology major, is the son of Kenneth and Angie Blanchard. He is a member of Sigma Chi fraternity, Campus Crusades for Christ and serves as Freshman Associates Advisor.

Summit

Centennial Celebration Fall 2010 Commencement graduates of The University of Southern Mississippi’s double major program in elementary education and special education were honored by the university’s Department of Curriculum, Instruction and Special Education (CISE) in a ceremony prior to the fall commencement.

Dia R. Kelly, a University of Southern Mississippi senior from Lawrence County, received her bachelor of science degree in medical technology during the university’s fall Centennial Celebration Commencement Dec. 10. She was also honored that day for her achievement in a special ceremony recognizing medical technology graduates at the R.C. Cook University Union.

Heather White Conner, a University of Southern Mississippi senior from Natchez, Miss., received her bachelor of science degree in medical technology during the university’s fall Centennial Celebration Commencement Dec. 10.
