The following events are being held at various locations in Hattiesburg and present both interview and photo opportunities for the media. TUESDAY-WEDNESDAY, AUG. 16-17
Southern Miss Gulf Coast Registration, Orientation
WHEN:1 p.m. and 3 p.m. and 2-6 p.m. on Tuesday; 2-6 p.m. on Wednesday.
WHERE:Fleming Education Center on the Long Beach campus.
EVENT:Registration and orientation for new undergraduate students will be held on Tuesday. Registration and advisement for returning students and graduate students will be held on Wednesday. For information call 228.214.3444.
FRIDAY, AUG. 19
Freshmen move-in begins on Hattiesburg campus
WHEN:8 a.m.-Noon.
WHERE:Century Park and Wilbur Hall.
EVENT:Incoming freshmen will be moving into the dorms with the help of returning students, faculty and staff. For information call 601.266.4403.
SATURDAY, AUG. 20
Football players to help with move-in day
WHEN:8:30 a.m.-9:30 a.m.
WHERE:Freshman Quad on Hattiesburg campus.
EVENT:Several members of the Southern Miss football team, including head coach Larry Fedora, will be on hand to lend assistance with freshman students moving into residence halls. For information call 601.266.4403.
