“Vibrios in the Environment Conference” ongoing
WHEN:8 a.m.-4 p.m.
WHERE:Beau Rivage Resort and Casino in Biloxi.
EVENT:This major international conference will include scientists from around the globe who focus on current research on Vibrio ecology and pathogenesis of humans and marine animals. For information call 601-266-4491.

Southern Miss presents “La Boheme”
WHEN:7:30 p.m.
WHERE:Mannoni Performing Arts Center.
EVENT:The four-act Italian tragedy-comedy is being presented by the Southern Opera and Musical Theatre Company. For information call 601-266-4001.
WEDNESDAY-THURSDAY, NOV. 10-11
ROTC cadets to hold Veterans Vigil
WHEN:10 a.m.-10 a.m.
WHERE:Veterans Memorial Park in Hattiesburg.
EVENT:Members of the Air Force ROTC at Southern Miss will act as sentries in the memorial park for 24 straight hours. A remembrance ceremony is set for 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 10. For information call 601-266-4468.
