Let Us Host Your Alternative Break Group
The Office of Community Service Learning (OCSL) at The University of Southern Mississippi has extensive experience hosting alternative break groups. OCSL has hosted groups as small as 10 individuals and as large as 50.
Services offered
- Securing housing for your group
- Coordinating service projects including day trips to volunteer on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and New Orleans
- Freedom Summer Trail (civil rights) tour
- Cultural events
- Providing meals
- Securing transportation (if needed)

- Building houses with Habitat for Humanity
- Cemetery cleanup in New Orleans

The Office of Community Service Learning charges a small fee per participant, depending on the size of the group and services arranged.
