Studio photography

USM Photography provides you with top Studio Portraiture with combined professional experience of 34 years. We can provide you with colorful images for your personal and business portrait needs.

Our services allow for your digital images to be put to CD-ROM as well as hard copy prints. We can offer a variety of services in our studio to the Hattiesburg and University Communities. We can do anything from studio portraits to product photography. Other services include full-length body portraits and photographic reproductions of 3-D and 2-D art to CD, and/or prints. (Customers wanting a product design session must bring their own props.)

How To set up appointment/consultation:

Arrange a consultation or book your photography session as early as possible by calling 601-266-4149 during our business hours (Monday-Friday, 8:00-5:00). Some locations may require scouting to explore solutions for lighting and equipment requirements. If you are working with one of the designers in Creative Services please contact them first to arrange requirements for the photo shoot.

Faculty and Staff

We offer portraiture for your publicity and personal needs including book jackets, speaking engagements, media requests, and more. Traditional studio portraits as well as environmental portraiture are available.

Our digital services work well for departments that need to update a large number of faculty headshots. Blocks of time at a location of your choice can be set up for appointments.

Students

We offer professional-quality black & white and color portraits that fit a variety of needs. We have a traditional sitting in our studio or, if you prefer, in the campus location of your choice. We also provide minor touchups for the final print order.

Cap & Gown Portraits

Our studio has available for Southern Miss graduating senior a portrait session. The cap & gowns are the same as those worn by walking seniors at graduation. We also have a diploma cover to complete the look of the graduate. Sessions only take 20 minutes and can be squeezed into the busy schedules of a college senior. Seniors are asked to bring their own honor chords, sorority/fraternity stoles, and other graduation paraphernalia.

Off Campus Client

USM Photography Services offers professional quality portraits at extremely competitive pricing. We can provide sessions for your toddler, High School Senior, or your entire family.

Our location on USM’s scenic campus allows for many outdoor location portraits. Due to Hurricane Katrina some of our locations are not usable but we have adjusted and can provide you with a portrait with nature’s touch.

High School Seniors are welcome here. We have tuxedos and drapes for your traditional portraits. We also provide various backgrounds and posing for your non-traditional images. We like to work with your senior for a fun experience, and portraits that reflect their personalities.

Event /Group Photography

For your event photography needs or special out of studio portrait needs please contact our office to speak with one of the photographers about location shoot.

Staff photographers are available to take pictures of your group at the location of your choice. Contact us for more details.

If you have an upcoming even you would like to document, we can help. Whether it is a conference, awards ceremony, reception, lecture, or dedication, we will send a professional photographer to cover your event for a reasonable and competitive rate.

Historical Photos

We also have a large stock of black-and-white or color images throughout the history of the university available for sale to the general public. These include sports celebrities, mascots, athletic events, familiar buildings on campus, and historical photos.

Campus Life

Photo Services keeps a stock of digital images ranging from classrooms, campus scenes, student life, portraits and events from all seasons. These photos are constantly being updated and are available to faculty, staff. If you would like to explore the archives, please call our offices. If we do not have what you need, a request can be made to have it photographed.

*Photos taken before 2001 will be on film and will taken 2-3 days to scan/print.
