Drop-Off Locations

Southern Miss has two drop-off locations for aluminum cans and newspaper:
Fourth Street at the Physical Plant

Here are some things you can do to help:

  • Participate in the recycling program by separating recyclables and putting them in drop-off containers.
  • Don't throw away what you can use again-plastic containers, for instance, can be used many times.
  • Recycle printer/copier cartridges by sending them back to Stores.
  • Resuse paper by using the blank side for scratch paper.

Many individual offices have recycling containers. Put in a work request when containers need to be emptied. Southern Miss departments requiring pickup of large volume of recyclables may contact the Physical Plant by Work Request to make arrangement for pickup.

For information about Southern Miss' recycling program, contact Rodger Jackson at (601) 266-4850.
