The following is a proposal for a Minor in Legal Studies. The program would be under the umbrella of Paralegal Studies, while offering students an interdisciplinary view of the legal system. Best of all, there are three (3) core courses the student must take; leaving the remainder of the Minor (four courses) to be tailored by the student for their anticipated needs.
THE LEGAL STUDIES MINOR IS NOT INTENDED TO PREPARE A STUDENT FOR A CAREER AS A PARALEGAL AND IS NOT ABA APPROVED.
To earn a Minor in Legal Studies the student must complete 21 hours of course work from the following list:

PS – Students must take at least one additional PS Course from the list below.

- Students Majoring in Paralegal Studies are not eligible for a Minor in Legal Studies.
- Students Majoring in Political Science and Minoring in Legal Studies may not count PS courses taken toward both the Major and Minor.
