Elizabeth is the Administrative Assistant for the Political Science, International Development and International Affairs Department. Her duties include helping students with change of major forms, advisement, scheduling courses, and handling the deparments budgets.

Kimberly Cox Scherlofsky is the Recruiter/Program Coordinator for the International Development Doctoral Program. Her duties include recruiting for the International Development program, enrolling current students in courses, coordinating all in-person sessions, and helping students from the beginning of their Ph.D. career all the way to graduation.
Kimberly is currently A.B.D. from the University of Vienna, Vienna, Austria where she is currently working on her dissertation studying alcohol and drug treatment programs among the incarcerated population and conducting a comparison of these methods between the United States and the European Union.

Candace Forbes is a research associate and student in the International Development Doctoral Program. She and her fellow research team are engaged in a study on Hurricane Katrina and the BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill. She majors in Social and Cultural Development and minors in Political Development, where her area of interest is East Asia. Prior to her current position, Candace spent three years teaching and studying in South Korea.

Michael Webb, BA, MA

Michael Webb is a Research Associate with the International Development Doctoral Program, where he focuses his research on community resiliency modeling in the wake of large-scale disasters. He and his fellow research team are engaged in a study on Hurricane Katrina and the BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill. Mike has presented research findings on the oil spill to several organizations and universities, and will be presenting a paper on Hurricane Katrina at the Association of American Geographers annual meeting in February 2012. Mike is an Economic Development major and a Social/Cultural Development minor in the IDV program, and participated in the department’s trip to Peru in July 2011. Prior to joining the IDV program, Mike worked as an economic development manager in Mississippi and Virginia.
