Ebony earned her undergraduate degree in Political Science and International Studies with a minor in Human Rights in Fall 2009. Since then, Ebony has completed an internship with current City of Hattiesburg's Mayor and Mississippi Gubernatorial Candidate Johnny Dupree. After finishing her year with the Mayor Dupree, she then started and completed an internship with the Forrest County Public Defender's Office as a Client Liaison. Even then, Ebony had her sights set on obtaining a graduate degree so she applied to the Master's Program in Political Science at the University of Southern Mississippi. As one of our current graduate students and assistants in our department, she still has her sights on serving the public in some capacity. Ebony feels she is blessed and have had more than she could ever dream of, but feels that it is still more to do because her journey is not complete. As far as evolving, she always says, "I pray that I get the opportunity to fully evolve into that person that I was intended to be on this earth." There is no doubt Ebony will accomplish that with her hardwork and her hunger to be better. Raised in a single-parent household, Ebony credits that to her work ethic and her drive to be of service to others.
