Facilities

The School of Polymers and High Performance Materials is located in the Shelby Freland Thames Polymer Science Research Center. This 106,000 sq. ft. $30 million dollar facility is home to over $20 million dollars worth of state-of-the-art research instrumentation. From shared instrumentation facilities including Electron Microscopes, X-Ray Diffraction and Scattering, and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectrometers to individually owned equipment ranging from Rheometers to Fuell Cell Test Stations, the School provides our students and partners access to the most useful and sophisticated techniques available.
