Call for papers: The Americal Chemical Society's Division of Polymer Chemistry announces the 5th annual symposium to recognize outstanding undergraduate students in polymer science and engineering. This symposium will be held at the 2010 SPRING NATIONAL ACS MEETING, March 21-25, 2010 in San Francisco, CA. Abstracts and preprints are due October 19th, 2009. Click here for additional information.

In Memoriam: We are saddened to announce the untimely death of Professor Charles Hoyle. Dr. Hoyle passed away Monday evening, September 7th, 2009. Dr. Charlie Hoyle was universally loved by all. An outstanding teacher, researcher, and an ideal colleague, he will be dearly missed. A student scholarship fund has been set up with the USM Foundation to honor Dr. Hoyle's unwavering support towards student education. Make checks out to USM Foundation, assigned to the Dr. Charles E. The Waterborne Symposium: February 10 - 12, 2010 at the Astor Crowne Plaza in New Orleans, LA. Sponsored by The School of Polymers and High Performance Materials and the Southern Society for Coatings Technology. The 37th annual international symposium consists of topical sessions covering a broad range of issues within contemporary coatings science and technology.
