TECHNICAL TAILORING - A marine aquaculture technician stitches up a red snapper after inserting a radio tag in the fish raised at The University of Southern Mississippi Gulf Coast Research Laboratory in Ocean Springs. The fish is one of 15 tagged with radio acoustic equipment and released this week on a Gulf of Mexico reef as part of an experiment on using hatchery-raised marine fish to restore depleted fish stocks in the gulf. The GCRL is headquarters for the U.S. Marine Stock Enhancement Program. (Photo by Diana Reid) |
