University of Southern Mississippi police officer William Trussell, right, works with George Dixon, far left, and Richard Wesley as they adjust a bicycle chain. Dixon and Wesley participate in the Southern Miss School of Social Work's Family Network Partnership's bicycle repair program, which helps at-risk youth learn about the facets of bicycle repair as a way to gain vocational skills. Trussell, who serves with the University Police Department's campus bicycle patrol, has volunteered his time as an instructor for the program. Participants are given a bike to repair during the Christmas holidays to give away as a present to disadvantaged youth and also are given one to repair and keep for themselves.
