SOUTHERN MISS TOY DRIVE

– Santa and his helpers load donated toys into a van Thursday on the University of Southern Mississippi campus, with assistance from Maj. Dan Heard, commanding officer of the Salvation Army in Hattiesburg, Miss. The annual toy drive, sponsored by the Southern Miss civitan club, raised enough toys for the Salvation Army to distribute to more than 2,500 children this holiday season.
