Waters, a Gulfport resident, earned his degree from Southern Miss in 1961. As an artist, his creative endeavors include painting, sculpture and musical invention.

Spence Townsend

Townsend, an artist from Hattiesburg, Miss., received his B.F.A. from Southern Miss in 2005. His mixed-media painting was shown in the 100 Alumni Exhibit as part of the University's Centennial Celebration in 2010.

White, a Southern Miss alumnus, is a visiting assistant professor of graphic design. He received his B.F.A. in graphic design at Southern Miss and his M.F.A. from The University of Florida.

He has worked extensively in the area of apparel design and has created both nationally and internationally featured works.

Traci Stover

Stover, a Southern Miss alumna, is an artist and visiting assistant professor in the Department of Art and Design.
Traci received her B.F.A. from Southern Miss in 1991 with a minor in art history and her M.F.A. from American University in 1993.

Nancy Hicks

Hicks, a Georgia resident who specializes in collage, created this work in honor of President Martha Saunders' inauguration. The original piece hangs in the Office of the President in the Aubrey K. Lucas Administration Building.
