The “early registration” rate applies to registrations submitted with fee payment postmarked on or before July 18, 2008. Make checks payable to Southern Miss. Registrations are
accepted by mail or in person. Registrations by fax or phone also are accepted with payment by VISA or MasterCard only. MCA members must list their membership card number on
the registration form and show their card at check-in.

**NOTE for MEC educators: In order to receive free registration, an MEC educator must actively assist with the seminar all three days. Assistance options may include workshop
instruction, facilitation, questions and answers, hands-on assistance, and/or panel participation.

Refund Cancellation Policy

Refund requests must be made in writing to Southern Miss Office of Professional Development and Educational Outreach (OPDEO). Refund requests postmarked on or
before July 18, 2008, will be refunded 100 percent, less a $50 processing fee. Refund requests postmarked after July 18, 2008, will not be processed, and no refund will be issued.
Upon receipt of a request, the university requires a period of four to six weeks to process an approved refund.

Lodging Accommodations

Lodging reservations and payment must be made on an individual basis. A block of rooms has been designated at the Inn on the Hill for the Cosmetology Seminar. When making reservations, identify yourself with the seminar in order to receive the seminar rate.
Reservations should be made as soon as possible, but no later than the dates indicated.

Location and Check-In

The seminar will take place August 2-4, 2008, at the Hattiesburg Lake Terrace Convention Center (HLTCC) in Hattiesburg, Miss. The center is located at the intersection of
U.S. Highway 49 and Interstate 59. Preregistered participants should check in on August 2, 2008, from 10 a.m. until noon in the lobby of the center. On-site registration also will be available at this time. MCA education committee members should check in at 8 a.m. on August 2, 2008, in the lobby of the center. Visit the convention center Web site

Additional Information

Supplies to Bring

Bring all of your working equipment, including towels, water bottle, comb, brush, clippers, shears, razor, thinning shears, foil, color bottle, mock coloring, formal styling equipment (pins, bands, hairnets, etc.), and a pen and notepad for taking notes. Also, bring a mannequin
and holder, or, if you prefer, purchase a mannequin for $25 and a holder for $2.50 at the seminar.
