The New South Economic Development
course focuses on exposing participants to the Learn how you can benefit from fresh approaches by attending the New South Economic Development Course. This fast-paced, intensive training course incorporates business, developer and public perspectives. The course will be held September 21-26, 2008. Running concurrently throughout the week is a case study
that brings a real-world experience into the classroom and
turns the theories examined into a practical experience. You The New South Economic Development Course is
accredited by the International Economic Development
Council (IEDC). The IEDC is the largest membership
organization dedicated to economic developers and their
profession. IEDC’s mission is to provide leadership and Sunday, Sept. 21 Monday, Sept. 22 Tuesday, Sept. 23 Wednesday, Sept. 24 Thursday, Sept. 25 Friday, Sept. 26 Registration Fees and Information Noncredit Fee: $600 Payment is accepted by check, MasterCard or VISA. Purchase orders will be accepted, but payment in full is due September 8, 2008. Complete and return the registration form with remittance in one of the following four ways: By mail By phone By fax In person The refund/cancellation request deadline is September 8, 2008. Refund/cancellation requests postmarked on or before September 8, 2008, will receive an 80 percent refund. Requests postmarked after September 8, 2008, will not receive a refund. Substitutes are allowed. Refund/cancellation requests must be made in writing and mailed to Mary Ann Iverson at the above mailing address. The course will be held at the Marriot Gulfport Beachfront
Hotel in Gulfport, Miss. A room block has been reserved at a
rate of $95 plus tax. Reservations may be made by calling the Top Individuals who wish to pursue an academic credit option must be admitted/readmitted to the university prior to the course and must pay Southern Miss tuition in addition to the course fee. At least one-half of tuition must be paid at the time of academic registration. Academic credit will be awarded in the fall semester. Join the captain and crew for a beautiful sail from the Schooner Pier Complex along the Biloxi Beachfront and see the coastline and islands like you've never seen them before.
