The New South Economic Development course focuses on exposing participants to the
tactics, techniques and strategies associated with effective economic development. Noted experts and distinguished faculty in the field of economic development will offer insights into doing business in an increasingly global economy.

Learn how you can benefit from fresh approaches by attending the New South Economic Development Course. This fast-paced, intensive training course incorporates business, developer and public perspectives. The course will be held September 21-26, 2008.

Running concurrently throughout the week is a case study that brings a real-world experience into the classroom and turns the theories examined into a practical experience. You
will learn by sharing and doing. The course is hands-on in a supportive environment.

The New South Economic Development Course is accredited by the International Economic Development Council (IEDC). The IEDC is the largest membership organization dedicated to economic developers and their profession. IEDC’s mission is to provide leadership and
excellence in economic development for communities, members and partners to build strong, sustainable communities.
