The New South Economic Development course focuses on exposing participants to the
tactics, techniques and strategies associated with effective economic development. Noted experts and distinguished faculty in the field of economic development will offer insights into doing business in an increasingly complex economy.

This fast-paced, intensive training course incorporates business, developer and public perspectives.

Using a case study, the course brings a real-world experience into the classroom and turns the theories examined into a practical experience. You will learn by sharing and doing. The course is hands-on in a supportive environment.

The New South Economic Development Course is accredited by the International Economic Development Council (IEDC). The IEDC is the largest membership organization dedicated to economic developers and their profession.

The course is equivalent to IEDC’s Introduction to Economic Development Course and may be considered toward requirements to sit for the Certified Economic Developer (CED) exam.
