Intramural Sports Point System

Organizations wishing to compete in the All-University point race must register with the Recreational Sports office prior to the beginning of each sport. These teams must also play within the same division and under the same team name throughout the entire school year. Sports will be divided into three categories (Major, Minor, and Individual/Dual) and will be awarded points respectively for each. Teams will also be awarded points for teams entries, sportsmanship and placement within the playoff tournament.

Entry/Participation Points:

• Each team will receive 20 points per team for all Major and Minor sports
• Each individual will receive 5 points per entry for Individual/Dual sports

Individual/Dual Sports:

• 25 points for winning the Intramural Sports Championship
• 15 points for placing 2nd
• 10 points for placing 3rd or 4th

Co-Rec Points:

Points for teams competing in co-rec sports will be divided equally between the male and female Greek organizations or Independent teams represented. This includes the entry/participation points awarded.

Forfeiture of Points

Teams that forfeit a game during the season will lose entry/participation points for that team only. Teams that default or forfeit all games will forfeit participation and placement points. Teams that forfeit during playoffs will forfeit participation and placement points.
