Allison Nance

Goals as Personal Trainer:

  • To assist my clients in achieving optimal muscular and cardiovascular fitness levels, through proper training, accountability, and motivation. Everyone has the ability to take charge of their own health, so I strive to be that force in empowering people to do so!

Experience:

  • As an undergraduate at LSU, I was a Certified Personal Trainer for the YMCA Charles W. Lamar Branch and SB Wellness Corporate Fitness Comapany. As a wellness intern for Sarasota County Government in Sarasota, Florida, I did personal training as well as dance fitness classes. Most recently, I taught high school science/health and did personal training for female students at Children's Palace Bilingual School, in Roatan, Honduras.

Hobbies/Interest:

  • My pastime involves reading novels and exercising. I enjoy traveling abroad and spending time with friends and family. Also, dancing and singing to reggae/spanish music are of my favorite things to do.

  • For those who needs someone with experience in the field of personal training to help them achieve their goals, I use various workouts programs, including boxing, interval training, kettlebells, weight training, circuits and Tabata training.

 Shelby Wittorf

Goals as a Personal Trainer:

  • My goal as a personal trainer is to help people become more confident by becoming more physically fit and becoming educated in the world of exercising. 

Experience:

  • I became certified in July of 2012 and have been training myself, my family, and friends for a few years.

Hobbies and Interest:

  • Since I have danced for most of my life, I enjoy taking many dance based exercise classes such as Zumba.  I also enjoy spending the summer on the river tubing, kneeboarding, and wakeboarding.  My goal is to eventually become a Physical Therapist so I also enjoy learning more about new rehabilitation techniques.

  • I try to the best of my ability to come up with the best possible work out plan for my client so that they can get the results that they want.  I also like to make my work outs as interesting as possible so that my client never gets bored with their work out and always wants to come back for more.  I also like to motivate my clients to reach their goals.

Stephanie Stokes

Goals as Personal Trainer:

  • Training is something I am deeply passionate about. I expect my client to be as intense in our training and motivated as I am when I myself am working towards my fitness goals. My highest priority as a trainer would be to see the client pushing his or her self towards their personalized goal while I lead the way with clear and safe instruction. At the end of the day I want the client to be energized and encouraged about the progressions being made.

Experience:

  • Received AFAA certification in 2010 and have worked as a personal fitness instructor (Payne Center and YMCA)and teaching classes (Payne Center) since 2010.

Hobbies/Interest:

  • Swimming, biking, running, hiking, teaching, competing in events, and playing volleyball are amongst my favorite hobbies.

  • As a fellow competitor, I know how it feels to work towards a personal fitness goal. It is sometimes discouraging, but as trainer I am an excellent extrinsic motivational source to help overcome those moments. I will go the extra mile to make sure the client's goals and expectations are being met. Learning and keeping up with new health related research and workouts is a passion of mine so I am constantly up-to-date with exercise prescriptions and regiments. As a trainer I will have the spirit and knowledge base to give clients a "sound mine and body."

 Tommy Berg

  • Performance enhancement and physiological needs for weight loss and increased performance

Goals as Personal Trainer:

  • To lead the client to not only meet their goals, but surpass their goals.

  • 1 year personal training
  • 1 year strongman training
  • 2 years highland game training
  • 6 years competing in powerlifting

Hobbies/Interest:

  • I enjoy pushing myself in the gym and trying new strength sports. I also spend a lot of time reading and researching the best methods to increase my performance as well my clients'.

  • I will spend 30 minutes to an hour on every client planning out all of their sessions, making their session as optimal as possible. I will also push you, the client, to reach your goals. My level of compassion and knowledge will further help you surpass your goals.
