The Payne Center has knowledgeable, talented staff who will assess the fitness level, discuss personal fitness goals and design an exercise program to help meet the client's fitness goals.

Personal Training Sessions
Before sessions can be purchased, new and returning clients need to visit the FAC office during open FAC office hours to complete an initial consultation. After the initial consultation, the new or returning client will be contacted by their assigned personal trainer no more than 24 hours after the completion of the paperwork. From there, the client and their assigned trainer will discuss session packages and fitness assessments.
If you are a new client and you are not available during any of the open FAC office hours, then please see the tab "request a trainer" to submit a request or call the Graduate Assistant for Fitness and Wellness to schedule an initial consultation outside of open FAC office hours. Please note: no sessions can be purchased without the completion of the initial consultation paperwork and the assignment of a personal trainer.
What is a Fitness Assessment?
A fitness assessment is a series of tests that shows an individual their baselines for their anthropometric data, functional movement, muscular endurance, cardiovascular system and flexibility. A personal trainer supervises these tests for each client. All clients have the right to refuse any or all parts of the fitness assessment, and the client has the right to prematurely conclude a test for any reason they deem necessary.
Physicians consent prior to a fitness assessment is required for men over the age of 45, women over the age of 55, or anyone with a pre-existing medical condition.
Please wear exercise clothing to all sessions and assessments. Appropriate clothing includes athletic shoes, sweat pants and shirts, t-shirts, shorts, and/or tights.
