The Longleaf Trace

Mississippi's first Rails to Trails conservancy project is a 40-mile asphalt paved biking, hiking and roller blading trail that extends from Hattiesburg to Prentiss, Miss.

The Trace also has an equestrian trail 23 miles in length, that parallels a portion of the bike trail from Epley Station to Carson Station. No motorized vehicles are allowed on the trail. However, with an authorized permit, battery operated carts may be used.

The Longleaf Trace offers a safe and well-maintained trail and facilities that the entire university community can enjoy. Please visit the Longleaf Trace Web site for more information.
