Transcripts
An official transcript is the reproduction of a complete, unabridged permanent academic record validated with the university seal, facsimile signature of the registrar, and date of issue. A key to the transcript is included, which contains a full statement of pertinent definitions.
Transcripts are not released when there is indebtedness to the university.
Both former undergraduate and graduate students may obtain a transcript through a variety of ways for their convenience.

NOTICE: Southern Miss Alumni applying to Southern Miss Graduate School DO NOT need to request a transcript via Transcripts on Demand (iwantmytranscripts.com). Contact the Graduate School for transcript processing. Graduate students proceeding through Transcripts on Demand will be charged a NON-REFUNDABLE $2.75 processing fee.

Transcript requests forms must have a student signature and cannot be requested via e-mail.
Students who attended Southern Miss PRIOR TO FALL 2001 have their student records on the University imaging system. Transcripts must be mailed, faxed, or picked up in person. Transcripts that are in the imaging system can not be sent via email and in some cases fax due to legibility.
Students who are currently enrolled or have attended Southern Miss SINCE FALL 2001 have their student records on the current Southern Online Accessible Records (S.O.A.R.) system. Transcripts on SOAR can be processed via mail, fax, email, or in person (some limitations may apply).

DELIVERY METHODS
FedEx overnight charge: $20.00 (within the United States) - PLUS $5 per transcript charge.
Students needing overnight delivery must submit the transcript request by 12:00 pm in order for the request to be processed the same day. All requests received after 12:00 pm will be processed the following day. Requests made on Friday will be delivered the following Monday. We do not offer Saturday delivery. FedEx transcripts cannot be delivered to PO boxes.
Fax charge: $5.00 (within the United States) - PLUS $5 per transcript charge.
Faxed transcripts are considered unofficial; therefore,students are responsible for ensuring the fax number is correct and the receiver will accept the faxed copy. Faxed transcripts can only be sent to other academic institutions.
Electronic - Transcripts that can be sent to network member institutions will automatically be sent via eScrip-Safe. To see a listof institutions that we can send email transcripts to, view the eScrip-Safe Network Member list at http://www.scrip-safe.com. Transcripts sent to network member institutions are considered official.
Transcripts sent directly to institutions and/or businesses are sent as 'Official' transcripts. Students are responsible for ensuring the receiver will accept 'Issued to Student' transcripts provided in sealed envelopes.

Students who need confirmation of Continuing Education Units (CEU credits) may request a CEU transcript by contacting the Office of Professional Development and Educational Outreach.
