Girl State Camp lends a hand! Summer 2007 Girls State volunteers help make-over the Residence Life Maintenance lawn.
On June 6th and 7th Residence Life Maintenance hosted two groups of State Girls to help with a beautification project on the department’s building. The work they provided to the department was to help satisfy their community hours needed. The first group of girls cleared, weeded, and leveled the ground in the garden. The next day the second group of girls came out and added more soil and planted flowers and bushes. The girls stayed for 2 hours each day and endured the heat and humidity just to help make the department’s building look a lot nicer. Thanks to these girls for their hard work and great job!
