Master's in School Counseling and Guidance Services

The admission to the Master's in School Counseling and Guidance Services program is for Summer and Fall semesters only. The application deadline is April 7, 2014. The Summer cohort is offered on the Hattiesburg campus in the hybrid delivery format. The traditional face-to-face delivery format is offered on the Gulf Coast campus.The program is 36 hours and offers a one year internship experience. The program targets students with teaching certification, however, students from non-teaching backgrounds can be considered for admission.

Scholarship Information 

The Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning in Mississippi established the Graduate Teacher and the Counseling and School Adminsitration Loan/Scholarship Program (GTS).  The program was designed as an incentive to encourage current licensed classroom teachers in Mississippi's public schools to pursue an advanced degree in education.

Application Period:  January 1 - March 31

Document Deadline:  March 31

These dates are important as the number of awards and recipients are dependent upon avilable funds and awards are made on a first-come, first-seve basis.
