Danny Mitchell

Danny Mitchell joined the GodwinGroup in 1983 and is now the senior partner and chairman of the board.  Originally from Corpus Cristi, Texas, Mitchell led GodwinGroup’s evolution in becoming a full service marketing firm with in-house capabilities including research, public relations, customer relationship marketing and interactive services.  Mitchell is a past president of the Central Chapter of the Public Relations Association of Mississippi and is the only person ever twice elected president of the Southern PR Federation.  He received the Jackson Ad Federation’s highest honor, the Silver Medal Award in 2001 and was inducted into the Mississippi Business Hall of Fame in 2007.  A member of the Southern Miss Alumni Hall of Fame and an Inaugural Member of the College of Arts and Letters Wall of Fame, Mitchell was inducted into the MCJ Hall of Fame in 2009.
