11:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
On Thursday, April 18, a group of mass communication professionals from around the state will spend the day visiting with students from USM’s School of Mass Communication and Journalism, and local junior colleges. The MAB professionals will discuss current issues in mass communication (with an emphasis on television news, radio entertainment, promotions, and media productions). These professionals will also discuss how to prepare for careers and obtain that all-important first job. They’ll also meet individually with students and review portfolios.
All students who are classified as juniors or seniors in any major in the School of Mass Communication and Journalism are eligible to apply. To apply, complete and return the application materials by April 5, 2013, to the School of Mass Communication and Journalism. Approximately, 20 students will be chosen for the portfolio review.
