Dr. Dan Tingstrom joined the USM School Psychology
faculty in 1986 after receiving his Ph.D. from Tulane
University in New Orleans, his hometown. He
had previously received the M.S. from Mississippi
State University in 1976 and returned to New Orleans
where he worked in a variety of applied settings
including a testing and evaluation center, a state
school for individuals with mental retardation,
and with a psychologist in private practice.
Since coming to USM most of his research interests
have involved issues related to the efficacy and
evaluation of behavioral interventions. He
assumed responsibilities as Director of the School
Psychology Program in 1992.
