Staff Scholarship
Purpose: To recognize university staff employees for dedication, leadership, services and unselfish contribution of time and effort in the promotion of the mission and goals of the University.
Criteria: Staff member that has completed one semester or more of study towards a degree at The University of Southern Mississippi; 3.0 cumulative grade point average; Must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 hours; Have not been awarded the Staff Council Scholarship within the last year.
Applications due by July 2, 2009.
Staff Council Service Award
Purpose: To recognize a university employee for dedication, leadership, services and unselfish contribution of time and effort in the promotion of the mission and goals of the University.
Criteria: Any part-time or full-time employee with a minimum of one year of continuous service to Southern Miss is eligible. A person may receive the award once in a 3-year time period. No current Staff Council member can be eligible for the Staff Council Service Award.
Fall Award - Nominations due by July 1
Spring Award - Nominations due by December 1

Staff Excellence Awards
Purpose: To recognize university staff employees for dedication, leadership, services and unselfish contribution of time and effort in the promotion of the mission and goals of the University.
Criteria: Employment with the university must have began before July 1, 2004.
Nominations due by November 7, 2008.
