Staff Scholarship Application

Deadline for applications: Thursday, July 2, 2009

This scholarship award is based on a staff member's leadership inside and outside the University, academic abilities, and financial need. The award money will be credited toward the upcoming semester to aid with textbook/supplies/workbook purchases. The Staff Council Scholarship Committee will determine the scholarship award winners. Each semester (excluding summer) Staff Council will award two scholarships of $100.

Criteria:

  • Staff member that has completed one semester or more of study towards a degree at The University of Southern Mississippi.
  • 3.0 cumulative grade point average.
  • Must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 hours.
  • Have not been awarded the Staff Council Scholarship within the last year.

Important: Complete your application thoughtfully and thoroughly. Scholarship recipients will be notified by August 4, 2009. All recipients will be recognized and presented with a certificate at the September 2009 Staff Council monthly meeting.
