About SGA
The Student Government Association desires to provide an effective organization for the administration of the student body, to establish official channels through which student opinions may be expressed, to promote students' rights and responsibilities, to ensure the growth and development of self-government for all students, to encourage university pride, to promote academic freedom and academic responsibility, to protect the rights of students, and to promote full cooperation between students, faculty and administration in the constant pursuit of excellence, justic, and quality of life for all students at The University of Southern Mississippi.*
