Philanthropy Commission

The Philanthropy Commission is a part of the 2012-2013 administration’s ongoing commitment to increasing student involvement in SGA. The Philanthropy Commission is composed of the Fundraising, Public Relations, and Philanthropy committee, and its responsibilities will consist of the following:

• Find creative marketing ideas for raising money through the Student body for the USM Foundation.
• P.C. will also be charged with the task of finding creative marketing ideas to get campus organizations, community businesses, and people of the Hattiesburg area to donate as well.
• P.C. will present donations every year at the Founder’s Day Program.

The goal of this commission is to make giving back to our University an official tradition on our campus through the Alumni Association. We have all seen great benefit through being a Southern Mississippi Eagle, so this is a great step towards becoming an even greater valued Alumnus of our institution.”
