Which catalog should I use to plan my program of study?
Students typically follow the catalog [bulletin] in effect at the time they enroll at Southern Miss., though you may opt to follow a catalog from a different year.
Your specific graduation requirements will depend on the requirements printed in the University catalog that you choose. University policy states that you may select the catalog according to the following guidelines:
- the catalog you choose is no more than six years old at the time of your graduation; and
- you were enrolled at U S M or another accredited institution of higher learning [including junior colleges or community colleges] during the catalog year that you chose.
Registrar: Further information regarding the choice of catalog can be found in the U S M undergraduate bulletin.
