
Dr. Brett Kemker
July 12, 2007- We received the following e-mail from Dr. Peter Fos, Dean of the College of Health, earlier today. We wanted to share the good news with you, our readers:
It is my pleasure to inform you that Dr. Brett Kemker has accepted the position of Associate Dean for Academic and Student Affairs in the College of Health, effective July 1, 2007. Dr. Kemker will remain as Chair of the Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences, and he will devote 25% to 30% of his time to the Dean's Office.
In his role as Associate Dean he will be responsible for academic and student affairs issues, such as: student advising coordination (including pre-health students), addressing student complaints and concerns (including grade appeals), review and approval of curricula exceptions, student practice development, oversight of programs assessments, coordination of the relationship with the VA Gulf Coast Health System, Gulf Coast student affairs issues, as well as other duties as assigned by the Dean.
