Dr. Steve Oshrin received the Excellence in Teaching Award. Dr. Oshrin currently teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in the department and has developed numerous online courses. Dr. Oshrin also served as department chair for many years. Virginia Berry nominated Dr. Oshrin for this award.

Our own Laura Beach served as Chair of the College of Health's Honors Committee for the second year in a row. Laura served as mistress of ceremonies for the 2008 gathering and, as always, oversaw all elements of the program. Nicely done, Laura.

Those of us in SHS already knew these award recipients were special- now, so does everyone else. Congratulations!
