Fifteen Minutes of Fame
March 25, 2008- American Artist Andy Warhol is credited for the 1968 statement that "In the future, everyone will be world-famous for 15 minutes." We assumed Andy was referring only to humans, but in the new millineum, anything goes.

Case in point: Our own Laura Beach participated in the 1st Annual Spring Fling at the Petal Dog Park over the weekend. Proceeds from this event benefitted The Southern Pines Animal Shelter and another NO KILL shelter.
Laura's pride and joy, Naula, took second place in the "Best Tail Wagger" category [seriously]. Naula is a Jack Russell Terrier; we don't know if her unique tail wagging ability is a characteristic of the breed or just a sign that she's a very happy dog.
Naula doesn't seem to have been affected by the award. She remains a "good ole dog," though Laura has noticed in the past day or two that when she gives a command, Naula stops and looks at her as to ask "What's in it for me?"
