Dr. Bullock, left, and Ms. Boardman meet with graduate clinicians
August 24, 2007- While Fall classes began mid-week, Speech and Hearing Clinic Coordinators Lynn Boardman and Virginia Berry have been meeting with new graduate students since Monday. The list of orientation items has grown longer each year and ranges from such topics as code of ethics, HIPPA, and clinical procedures down to the location of paper clips in the main office. :)
Ms. Boardman and Ms. Berry began holding the orientation last year, and the strategy has proved to be an efficient means of disseminating lots of information in a relatively short period of time to new students. The sessions also include information from directors of service programs such as The Children's Center and The DuBard School.
So much for those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer!
While we can't believe we're saying it quite so soon, here it is: "Welcome back to school!" Everyone in the department wishes you a productive semester!
